DWD WCN 2012 RN Survey At a Glance Brochure

The WCN Wisconsin 2012 Registered Nursing Survey Report Analysis and its accompanying documents were accomplished with the support of many individuals and partners.

We greatly appreciate the dedicated work of the volunteer researchers and the contributions of their respective institutions:  Mary Ellen Murray, PhD, RN, School of Nursing, University of Wisconsin- Madison, Judith Westphal, PhD, RN, College of Nursing, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Lea Acord, PhD, RN, College of Nursing, Marquette University,  Rachel Schiffman, PhD, RN, FAAN, College of Nursing, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and research assistants,  I-Hui Chen, BS, RN, PhDc, School of Nursing, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Mary Raynor, BSN Student, College of Nursing, Marquette University. In addition, we want to thank Jeffery Henriques, PhD, Department of Psychology, University of Wisconsin-Madison who was the statistician for this significant work.

We are grateful to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, without whose assistance, our work would not be possible. This important survey yields critical information on the status of the workforce in Wisconsin and serves as a foundation to address predicted future nursing shortages which will impact the healthcare in our state. We are also grateful to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for making the survey accessible to the thousands of nurses in our state, the nurses of Wisconsin for their cooperation in responding to the 2012 RN Survey.
